Overview Direct Care Worker (Residential) – Support Residents to Live Safely and Comfortably
Make a meaningful impact every day by assisting residents to live with dignity, comfort, and independence in a caring residential environment.
As a
Direct Care Worker (Residential) , you will provide hands‑on support and care to residents, working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager, Hotel Services Manager, and the wider multidisciplinary team. You’ll assist with daily activities, promote resident wellbeing, and contribute to a safe, supportive, and engaging environment.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with activities of daily living (e.g., hygiene, mobility, nutrition).
Promote resident independence and wellbeing.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to deliver person‑centred care.
Qualifications
Completed or working toward completion AQF Certificate III relevant to the position.
Proven experience exercising own judgment and initiative in the day‑to‑day execution of a position.
Experience in the provision of a direct care service in a health‑related field.
Experience dealing with aged, frail or disabled persons.
Experience using computer packages, e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel.

Additional Information A part time vacancy, working 45.6 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements:

Immunisation Risk for this position is – Category A.
