This position is empowered by the Maintenance Supervisor to build and maintain a collaborative work environment while consistently delivering the highest quality customer service.
What You’ll Do
Responsible for light maintenance, i.e., trashing vacant apartments, removing carpet, etc.
Responsible for light landscaping duties, i.e., weeding, watering, planting flowers, etc.
Routinely inspect and maintain buildings and property to ensure appearance of the community is consistent with company standards and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Assist maintenance staff in ensuring Make Ready units are consistent with basic principles of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, appliances, keys, and locks.
Perform snow removal when needed.
Provide high‑quality customer service according to GCI’s customer service principles to maximize resident retention.
Requirements
General maintenance experience/knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical preferred.
Dedication to exceeding all customer needs with ability to build and maintain relationships.
Demonstrate thoroughness, self‑motivation, and organization when accomplishing tasks.
Ability to work a non‑traditional schedule including evenings, weekends, and on‑call hours as needed.
Education, Licenses, and Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license required.
