Summary The Produce Clerk is first and foremost responsible for guest relations and satisfaction. They will perform all produce processing, sanitation, safety, and stocking procedures on all fresh produce products (fruits, wet vegetables, and dry vegetables) as outlined by company and directed by the Produce Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Acknowledge, greet, and engage guests.
Be attentive to guest needs and direct them to items.
Monitor guest flow and switch activities quickly.
Follow daily work schedule as assigned.
Perform produce duties in accordance with company guidelines.
Prevent shrink, damage, and spoilage to ensure freshness and quality.
Assist with building produce displays and ensure proper pricing and signage.
Perform stocking, wrapping, and clean‑up as directed.
Carry out other duties requested by management.
Key Requirements
Ability to work in a fast‑paced but efficient environment.
Ability to perform all physical aspects of produce duties including standing, bending, lifting, squatting, climbing, and walking.
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs to a height of 4 feet on a regular basis.
Ability to read, write, and complete company forms.
Ability to work up to 8-10 hours in 60‑degree temperatures.
Flexibility to work various hours, shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Openness to supervisory coaching.
Team player and get along with others.
