Job Overview
Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Senior Field Representative in the New Carlisle, IN area. The role offers a company car and a guaranteed 40‑hour paid week. The expected annual salary range is $82,500–$121,000, based on skills, experience, and market considerations.
Responsibilities
Support customers across the power system lifecycle: startup, commissioning support, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, upgrades, and emergencies
Manage small projects independently and lead Field Service Representative teams on larger projects
Generate timely and accurate service reports on work, product performance, and warranties
Provide recommendations for improved electrical systems
Cultivate strong relationships with customers, team members, and partners
Mentor less experienced technicians
Utilize digital tools for remote work, including laptops, iPads, IR cameras, Google Glasses, MS Teams, and more

Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or higher with a minimum of 3 years of experience testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems, or completion of an accredited trade school program with 7 or more years of experience in the same field
Must be able to work in the U.S. without corporate sponsorship now or in the future
No relocation offered; candidates within 50‑mile radius considered. Active‑Duty military service members are exempt from the geographical limitation
Must have a valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
Electrical or General Contractor’s license
Professional Engineering license
Experience performing power‑quality measurements, troubleshooting, and analysis of protective relays
NICET/NETA certification
Essential Skills and Success Criteria
Complete and maintain compliance with Eaton’s safety program and policy; achieve Field Certified Level 3 safety qualifications through mentoring, training, and exams
Submit to periodic customer‑required background and drug screenings
Work variable hours, including nights, weekends, and travel within the region as required by customers
Drive an Eaton vehicle and operate a valid TWIC card when necessary
Understand 3‑phase power systems and low, medium, and high‑voltage power distribution equipment
Perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, walking, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and climbing; lift or carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally more with assistance
Use hand and power tools for equipment assembly
Strong problem‑solving, logical thinking, and effective communication skills
Work well under time constraints and in stressful situations
Collaborate effectively with the team to meet project deadlines
