General Description:
As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for strict adherence to recipe standards, safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation. You will prepare food with proper safety equipment, tools, and recipe specifications, following further direction from management. You will also manage food storage hierarchy in the walk‑in cooler and freezer and keep dry storage organized, preparing fresh, delicious food that looks great.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of food items, ensuring speed and accurate preparation.
Follow prep list and keep prep items in stock.
Accurately measure ingredients and follow mixing methods.
Wash, slice vegetables, and cut meats.
Undertake basic cooking duties such as sautéing vegetables and boiling soups.
Label and stock all food products for proper rotation.
Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards and procedures.
Perform other related duties as requested.
Maintain equipment and cleanliness of surroundings.
Work as a team to achieve standards in preparation and delivery of food items.
Qualifications:
Good understanding of ingredients, recipes, kitchen safety, and hygiene.
Familiarity with general kitchen equipment and appliances.
Able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
Able to perform well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
Reliable transportation.
Able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
