Minimum qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

10 years of experience with quota‑carrying cloud or software sales, or account management at a business‑to‑business (B2B) software company.

Experience working with the New Jersey Public Sector market, including government, state, municipalities, or education entities.

Experience engaging with accounts and promoting a portfolio of products at the C‑level.

Preferred qualifications

Experience selling cloud solutions across public sector, aligning solutions to drive business outcomes for state agencies.

Experience working with customer engineers and technical leads to inventory software estate, define migration plans, and build migration business cases.

Experience growing existing customer base and acquiring new logos at scale to increase spend and accelerate consumption business.

Experience working with, and leading, cross‑functional teams and partners in implementations and negotiations.

Experience working with lobbyist firms and the government lobbying policy within the Trenton, NJ area.

As a Field Sales Representative (FSR) for Public Sector, you will work with our Public Sector accounts related to different public entities. You will build on existing executive relationships, establish new ones, and act as a business partner to understand our customers’ challenges and goals. You will advocate the innovative power of our products to make public organizations more productive, collaborative, and mobile.

Google Public Sector brings the magic of Google to the mission of government and education with solutions purpose‑built for enterprises. We focus on accelerating digital transformations for United States public sector institutions and continue to invest and grow our team to meet complex needs at all levels of government and education.

Salary and benefits US base salary range for this full‑time position: $114,000–$169,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary is determined by role, level, and location. For more details, please consult your recruiter.

Responsibilities

Build and deepen executive relationships with enterprise customers to influence their long‑term technology and business decisions. Add value as a trusted advisor.

Develop expertise on customers’ business, SaaS portfolio, technology strategy, growth plans, business drivers, financial structure, customer base, vertical market, and participant landscape.

Lead account strategy to develop business growth opportunities, collaborating with multiple teams and Google partners to maximize impact within Public Sector customers.

Manage business cycles, presenting to C‑level executives and partnering on terms.

Drive business development, own operational excellence at scale, forecast accurately, and achieve goals by guiding customers through the entire business cycle.
