The overall strategy is driven by the company but generally aims to add new customers while driving same‑store growth with existing customers.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve sales and gross profit (GP) goals by actively participating in and executing key sales initiatives and programs.
Lead proactive sales activities within the territory, seeking new sales and business opportunities and serving as a lead generator for high‑technology lab equipment.
Execute face‑to‑face contact with dental laboratory customers, from prospecting and lead generation to account management and business reviews.
Actively seek new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media.
Plan, organize, and implement effective strategies using company programs and tools (e.g., BI‑driven customer analytics, CRM, value‑added customer education, and technical support resources) to increase market share in lab consumable products.
Attend all sales meetings, dental lab and dentist conventions, seminars, internal training programs, and industry events as instructed by the Director of Sales.
Proactively develop opportunities within each account and execute them into profitable sales.
Create and maintain a business development plan for each customer through repeated discovery.
Partner with tele‑sales and hi‑tech team members to maximize opportunities within each account.
Drive leads across all Zahn product categories and serve as a liaison between the customer and technical support team when a resolution is needed.
Utilize vendor resources to uncover new opportunities and close sales.
Drive sales event attendance and execute company initiatives to achieve KPIs.
Perform at company‑indicated minimum standards to grow sales and market share.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
Work Experience Typically 0 to 3 years of professional sales experience. Some sales experience preferred, with dental or lab sales experience a plus.
Preferred Education Typically a Bachelor’s degree or global equivalent in a related discipline, with a Master’s degree or global equivalent considered a plus. May hold one or more industry certifications.

Travel / Physical Demands This position requires extensive travel, with a minimum requirement of 80% travel across the United States, including air, train, and car travel. The TSM will also work remotely and at a home office environment, utilizing typical office equipment.
