About Us We are a well-established, mid‑sized tile company that is serving architects, designers, and homeowners. Known for quality products and reliable service, we are continuing to grow and are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative with tile or building materials industry experience to join our team.
Position Summary The Customer Service Representative will be a key point of contact for walk‑in customers, phone inquiries, and invoicing. This role requires strong industry knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple customer interactions in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service via phone, email, chat, or in‑person.
Assist walk‑in customers with product selection, pricing, and order inquiries.
Answer and manage incoming phone calls from designers, vendors, and homeowners.
Prepare, review, and process invoices accurately.
Enter orders and maintain customer records in internal systems.
Coordinate with sales, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Resolve customer issues professionally and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, organized front office and showroom area.
Process sales orders, handle returns/exchanges, and follow up on customer inquiries.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of products, services, pricing, and promotions.
Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets.
Build rapport and long‑term relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve issues quickly.
Accurately log customer interactions and update CRM systems.
Requirements
2+ years of customer service experience in the tile, flooring, or building materials industry (required)
Strong understanding of tile products, terminology, and order processes.
Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills.
Experience with invoicing, POS, or ERP systems.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive, solution‑oriented mindset with attention to detail.
Comfortable working with sales goals and KPIs.
Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office (or similar tools).
Pay Range:
Based on experience.
