Position Summary Belmont Abbey College, a Division II institution and member of the South Atlantic Conference, invites applications for the current position of Assistant Women’s Field Hockey Coach.
Job Responsibilities
Work with the head coach to support all aspects of an established collegiate Field Hockey program, including recruiting qualified student-athletes.
Monitor academic progress toward degree.
Prepare for competition and practice.
Support individual and program development.
Maintain facilities and engage in community activity.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Adhere to all rules, guidelines, and principles set forth by the South Atlantic Conference and Belmont Abbey College.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
One year of coaching Field Hockey at a collegiate level is preferred.
Demonstrate a vision for recruiting student‑athletes aligned with the college’s Catholic and Benedictine mission.
Yield wholeheartedly to the mission of the College to educate students in the liberal arts and sciences “so that in all things God may be glorified.”
Consistently demonstrate skills, attitudes, and stable disposition of character to support our Catholic and Benedictine identity while fostering development of mind, body, and spirit.
Sincere appreciation and acceptance of our Catholic approach to education and understanding of Pope Saint John Paul II’s Ex Corde Ecclesiae.
