Location: Lansing, Michigan
Job Description The Payment Processing Teller plays a key role in managing bill payment centers, handling customer interactions, ensuring accurate financial processing, and mitigating losses.
Duties
Process 1,000-2,000 monthly bill payments via credit card, cash, check, or money order.
Answer general customer account questions.
Complete identity verification for new utility service customers.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain organizational standards.
Control losses by following company policies and procedures.
Work independently in an office related setting.
Qualifications
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
One or more years handling cash in a customer service environment is required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to type 40 words per minute and perform standard office tasks.
Experience with SAP applications, including Cash Desk.
Skills
Proficiency with basic computer programs such as the Microsoft Office suite.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to meet deadlines and pay close attention to detail.
Education
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Associate's degree in accounting or another relevant field may be preferred.
