Job Description Surveying is a critical component of construction and civil engineering projects. It involves creating precise CAD drawings based on measurements and mapping data to determine land boundaries, topography, and other essential features. Accurate CAD work ensures that projects are designed correctly and safely, not only complying with regulations but also contributing to the development of safe, efficient, and sustainable communities.

Responsibilities

Develop and modify CAD drawings for survey projects using MicroStation software

Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and objectives

Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and project specifications

Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness

Assist in the preparation of survey documentation, reports, plats, legal descriptions and exhibits

Maintain organized survey project files and records

You bring to the team:

Ability to contribute and work well on a team

Minimum of six (6) years of experience as a CAD Technician

Familiarity with either AutoCAD or MicroStation programs

Basic understanding of land surveying principles preferred

Associate’s degree in CAD Drafting or a related field preferred but not required
