Commercial Driver – Class C
Responsibilities
Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.
Review orders before and after delivery to ensure they are complete, accurate, and that customers are satisfied.
Follow dispatcher directions, assigned routes, time schedules, and use navigation apps or alternative routes when necessary to deliver packages on time.
Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles without interfering with operations at the customer’s place of business.
Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints and concerns.
Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
Accept payments, prepare reports to include invoices, return forms, reconcile debt and credit, and process all monies collected related to deliveries.
When applicable, complete daily maintenance checks on the company delivery vehicle and notify the manager of any issues.
Assist with store/warehouse duties, such as stocking and parts pulling, as assigned.
Maintain and promote workplace safety.
Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
Minimum Requirements
Current valid CDL – Class C.
Age 21 or older to meet insurance requirements.
Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy.
Ability to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Prolonged sitting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Manage, track, and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances.
Use a tablet and/or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking and customer interface/signal capture.
Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively, professionally, with tact and diplomacy.
Take and follow directions and work well with others as part of a team.
Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed (preferred).
Previous delivery driving experience is a plus.
Schedule
4 working days per week with 10‑hour shifts.
Must meet all minimum requirements and knowledge/skills to be eligible to drive for Parts Authority.
