Job Summary
Educate and be highly visible in the 65+ community to promote Point32Health, Senior Care Options Plan (Point32Health SCO) and its benefits that lead to the enrollment of new members. Education will be given to prospects and their caregivers, Community Health Centers, Providers, local Elder Services, Councils on Aging, Housing Authorities, Senior Centers, and SHINE Counselors. The primary objective of this position is to identify prospective SCO-eligible members, explain the features and benefits of the plan in an assigned territory/marketplace, and assist with enrollment into the plan. Successful candidates generate leads from a variety of sources including networking, account management, grassroots sources as well as from member referrals.
Key Responsibilities
Effectively present the Point32Health SCO Program and its benefits to the 65+ MassHealth populations residing in the community.
Meet or exceed enrollment goals within an assigned territory; use a full sales mix of outreach and sales activities; conduct group and/or individual sales presentations and enroll eligible prospects on site as often as possible.
Perform lead generation through community-based activities and develop partnership-based relationships with providers, community-based organizations, senior housing, senior centers, advocacy agencies, etc.; conduct sales meetings, in-homes, conversion meetings, lead meetings, special events, and regular business reviews with accounts.
Perform lead follow-up and qualification calls to interested individuals to explain the purpose and benefits of Point32Health SCO and scheduling home visits to meet with prospects.
Maintain lead tracking and a sales database for all activity and interactions; submit completed enrollment applications in a timely basis.
Coordinate and develop relationships with key community groups to enable Point32Health SCO participation in community-sponsored events.
Represent Point32Health SCO at community or company-sponsored events to promote the company and the plan, raise awareness, network, and generate leads.
Develop and implement a business plan within the assigned territory; provide weekly activity plans, result summaries, and monthly expense reports.
Know provider networks (physician, hospital, and pharmacy) within assigned territories; maintain knowledge of competitor products in the market.
Represent Point32Health SCO in a manner consistent with company values and the departmental Code of Ethics; adhere to company policies and CMS and EOHHS guidelines.
Complete required certifications, licensing, continued education, policy acknowledgments, and work plans within deadlines; complete AHIP and any additional required training.
Perform other duties as necessary and assigned.
Qualifications – What You Need To Perform The Job
Education: Required: High school diploma. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Experience: Required: 3-5 years of professional experience. Preferred: 3-5 years of experience selling Medicare Advantage products or relevant sales with a track record of success.
Skills: Experience in community-based sales and marketing; ability to make public presentations and network to generate leads; strong consultative selling and presentation skills; familiarity with MassHealth a plus; Medicaid/Medicare/Long-Term Care knowledge helpful; excellent time management, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills; strong follow-up and telesales skills; initiative and judgment to work with minimal supervision; ability to work cooperatively as a team; bilingual required with Albanian, Russian, or Hindi preferred; computer proficiency with the Internet, web-based applications, and Microsoft Office; Health Producer license for MA or agreement to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Working Conditions and Additional Requirements
Must be able to work from home as required and in normal office conditions; may require extended sitting and use of telephone/headset and PC.
May require additional hours beyond the standard work schedule.
