Counterintelligence Analyst
Location:
Fort Belvoir, VA
Responsibilities
Provide counterintelligence (CI) support to a DOD Special Compartmented Information (SCI) / Special Access Program (SAP).
Research, build, staff, and present information and decision briefs; demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
Develop and perform intelligence and threat analysis as required.
Apply current experience and knowledge of IC analyst tools and applications.
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled CI and due‑diligence reviews of operational functions and coordinate with governmental IC agencies to facilitate mission preparation.
Become intimately familiar with the organization and explain relevant factors regarding unit mission, activities, and capabilities.
Assist in analysis, coordination, and integration of intelligence to assess developments, trends, and threat implications within critical geographic areas.
Present CI briefings and reports.
Prepare, formulate, coordinate, and staff a wide variety of operational and administrative correspondence.
Interface with the Intelligence Community as requested.
Update the government’s databases, intelligence files, and other required documents to support mission objectives.
Stay abreast of military, political‑military, technical, and other developments to conduct valid threat assessments.
Maintain office files, prepare administrative reports, and follow established policies and procedures.
Support customer’s Signature Reduction (SIGREDUX) efforts; provide advice and assistance to develop SIGREDUX and identity‑management concepts and procedures.
Perform other CI functions as designated.
Required Experience
Current Top Secret/SCI clearance (no exceptions).
At least four (4) years of government experience related to DoD 5105 series publications and instructions.
Minimum two (2) years of liaison experience between government agencies and conduct of C.I. analysis and/or all‑source programs and operations.
Knowledge and familiarity with analyst tools and classified message databases, such as Analyst Notebook, Proton, Google Earth, Hot‑R, Palantir, ArcGIS, IC Reach, Voltron.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Conditions
Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods.
Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach on a daily basis.
Able to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
Noise level: Low to moderate.
