Join Intercept Health as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) or CSAC Supervisee. Position located in Bedford, VA. This role focuses on providing outpatient counseling services and care coordination to clients with substance abuse issues. Prior experience with justice‑involved clients is preferred.
Annual base salary: $50,000 – $56,000, based on experience, education and certification. Sign‑on bonus available: $3,000.

Responsibilities
Support staff in comprehensive assessment of clients and develop treatment plans based on the assessment.
Assist with individual and group counseling sessions and complete required documentation.
Provide case management services as needed.
Document treatment progress for each client.
Exercise sound judgment in proposing changes to client treatment plans.
Coordinate closely with other staff to ensure appropriate treatment modalities.
Provide crisis intervention as needed.
Help staff develop and implement discharge plans.
Maintain high‑quality documentation of all case work, completed timely and in line with program policies and licensure requirements.
Notify supervisor of any significant client medical complaints, unusual events, accidents, medical problems, property damage or maintenance concerns.
Restrict services to within scope of expertise.
Qualifications
Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) or CSAC Supervisee.
Experience working in a team environment with individuals who suffer from substance abuse.
Preferred experience working with justice‑involved citizens.
