Overview At BrightView, we build and maintain the best teams. We are looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to work as the right‑hand to our course superintendent, ensuring the timely execution of all maintenance and management duties.

Responsibilities

Assist the superintendent in organizing and directing maintenance of all areas according to the technical specifications of the contract.

Supervise the operation, maintenance, and repair of all course equipment.

Procure and manage supplies and materials to support maintenance activities.

Manage golf course maintenance employees, providing input on interview, hire, training, discipline, and separation processes.

Protect the company’s interests through compliance with all applicable regulations, company policies, and safety programs.

Administer all aspects of the BrightView Safety Program and the BV360 Management Program.

Represent BrightView Golf Maintenance positively in appearance, attitude, and public relations.

Meet or exceed external and internal customer expectations.

Qualifications (Must Have)

Experience in golf course management and turf culture preferred.

Degree or advanced knowledge of agronomy, horticulture, plant or soil science preferred.

Must obtain and maintain a state‑sanctioned pesticide applicator license within 6 months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Awareness of construction, establishment, and maintenance practices for putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.

Aptitude for administrative and executive responsibilities, effective oral and written communication, and computer proficiency.

Familiarity with fertilizers and soil conditioners.

Knowledge of irrigation systems, pumps, wells, automatic controls, and drainage.

Ability to prepare the course for play in accordance with the rules of golf.

Ability to evaluate the course from the player's perspective.

Valid driver’s license.
