Job Summary: Transit Valley CC is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic
Assistant Professional
to join our team. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in golf operations and retail management while working in a dynamic and professional environment. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional with a passion for the game and exceptional customer service skills. The position will assist in daily golf operations to include pro‑shop and outside services to drive revenue and programming efforts, control assets, and promote the game of golf through lessons, tournaments, and merchandising. The job will begin April 15th with an end date around the end of October.
Experience Required
Strong knowledge of the game of golf, including rules, etiquette, and equipment.
Previous experience in golf operations, retail, or instruction preferred.
Good working knowledge of Golf Genius, GHIN, MS Word and Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, to include closing shifts, weekends and holidays.
Must be professional in appearance and conduct.
Essential Responsibilities
Assist in daily golf shop operations, including sales, inventory management, and merchandising.
Becoming a Community Leader in Junior Golf.
Assist in tournament organization and member events.
Support the Director of Golf in managing tee times, pace of play, and course etiquette.
Maintain a high level of customer service, ensuring an exceptional experience for all golfers.
