Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MOis hiring a Customer Service Representative to join our HospitalPatient Accounts Department. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

Bolivar is located in the Ozarks with a hometown feel and affordable housing options of rentals or apartments. About the department: Customer Service Representatives work with customers directly either in person or over the phone regarding their billing account. This includes, but is not limited to setting up payment plans, taking payments, accepting new insurance information, explaining or processing financial assistance applications, answering insurance questions and working to collect account balances by sending letters or contacting the patient by phone. This position is busy and requires multitasking and teamwork.
A typical day will include: Exhibiting a service-oriented attitude in all daily interaction with internal and external customers.
Responds to both physician and hospital incoming calls from patients regarding billing and collection of a patient account.
Answers patient account questions about insurance claims and/or EOB on a hospital or physician bill; sets up payment agreements; processes credit card payments taken over the phone; mails out promissory notes to patients; mails charity applications.
Updates and changes insurance information; updates patient or guarantor demographics.
Responding to caller's questions regarding in-network contract coverage for their insurance and insurance denial questions.
Job Requirements:
Education: HS diploma
Experience: Two years of experience in clerical and collection work required; preferred hospital or clinical experience
Skills: organization, able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking, customer Service, phone, typing and 10 key skills are a must.
Licensure/Certification: N/A
Physical: ability to work at a computer 90% of day and stand for the remaining 10%
Full-time days 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
