Provider Onboarding Specialist

Overview The Provider Onboarding Specialist facilitates the transition of provider staff from recruitment to employment under the direction of the Manager – Provider Services. This role is part of System Provider Services and reports up to Medical Leadership.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; or experience in lieu of education.

Experience Requirements

Previous experience in recruiting, marketing, personnel, customer service or related activities preferred.

Understanding of healthcare and medical environment helpful.

Some computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Facilitates relocation of new Professional Staff and APPs.

Completes requirements for pre-hires of Professional Staff and APPs (documents, I‑9 completion, scheduling pre‑employment physicals, obtaining security access/badges).

Schedules and conducts onboarding/orientation sessions.

Orders, assembles, and distributes new provider welcome kits.

Provides follow‑up to new staff via check‑ins and onboarding surveys.

Processes immigration paperwork as directed by Manager – Provider Services and external legal counsel.

Assists Manager – Provider Services with recruitment efforts for Professional Staff/APP leaders.

Supplements activities of Recruitment Services Specialists as needed.
