Maintenance Mechanic Level 2
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic Level 2 to perform mechanical repairs on industrial equipment, such as boilers, blast furnaces, cranes, gearboxes, and more. The ideal candidate will have expertise in power trains and be proficient in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Responsibilities: Mechanically repair industrial equipment including boilers, blast furnaces, cranes, gearboxes, and mobile equipment. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, with a focus on replacing pumps and hoses. Read and interpret blueprints for repair purposes. Use hand and power tools effectively. Rebuild industrial machinery and address breakdowns. Maintain and repair overhead cranes and other heavy equipment. Essential Skills: 3+ years of experience as a Millwright in the steel, oil & gas, or mining industry. Experience with hydraulic systems maintenance. Proficiency in equipment maintenance such as boom cranes, overhead cranes, and forklifts. Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems independently and within a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications: High school diploma or GED is recommended but not required. Welding experience, including MIG and STICK welding, is a plus. PPE, including steel-toed boots, hard hats, and safety glasses, must be worn at all times. The role requires working 50-60 hours weekly, typically across 6 days, with shifts available on the 2nd (2:00pm-10:30pm) and 3rd (10:00pm-6:30am). Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $61360.00/yr.
