As a Service Deli Clerk, you will: Provide product suggestions and assist customers with special orders while delivering exceptional customer service. Stock cases and ensure a variety of high-quality deli items are available for our customers. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements throughout your daily work. Clean and sanitize dishes, food preparation areas, and equipment. Your responsibilities will include: Greeting and building rapport with customers. Displaying a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language. Responding to customer questions effectively. Stocking products and maintaining product displays according to merchandising standards. Performing basic department cleaning upkeep. Following safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products for our customers. Assisting customers with their orders for a variety of deli services. Providing product suggestions and assisting customers with special orders. Being comfortable working with a slicer and/or sharp objects to execute duties. Performing other duties as assigned or required. Qualifications: Highly organized with a keen sense of detail. Great listening and communication skills. Ability to handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting while handling products or using various equipment. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must be 18 years or older for the Deli Clerk position. Physical demands: Regularly required to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store. The work environment is typical of a retail store. The noise level ranges from quiet to loud. The Service Deli is cooler than most areas in the store so must adapt and be comfortable in a cold environment. Minimal sitting is required. Team Members are also able to participate in the company's 401k plan that includes a safe harbor match.
