Merchandiser II
The Merchandiser II is responsible for performing merchandising activities and constructing displays of SGWS products in key retail accounts as requested by Sales Team or retail customers. This role will provide support to Sales Reps by ordering products and may be required to expedite product delivery on an emergency basis. The primary responsibilities include: Building and maintaining merchandising/display materials for all products Positioning merchandise and creating a customer-ready selling floor Ensuring store appearance and merchandise displays are in line with plans, selling history and new receipts Consulting with buyers, marketing, and sellers on product positioning and presentation plans Placing product orders on behalf of the Sales Rep Servicing local stores and refilling existing displays of products to keep company products fully stocked on the shelves Creating and coordinating the visual presentation of merchandise, including store layout and exhibits Distributing and installing refund offer, neck hangers, shelf-talkers, and price signs on products sold by the Company Filling cold box and warm shelves at client account with products sold by the Company Refilling and re-merchandising existing displays of product sold by the Company Assembling, installing and filling all types of display racks Picking up and delivering special orders, mail, and merchandise Performing sales support functions to include the use of current point of sale marketing materials, oversight of the shelf space in the chain territory manager's accounts, consistent communication with the representative regarding changes in buyer preferences and or out of stock inventory concerns/situations encountered during weekend hours Resetting alcoholic beverages at the store level (e.g., rearranging products using an authorized plan within an assigned territory/set geographic region) Implementing authorized plan/schematic developed by the various chain headquarters, so accuracy in evaluation, application and execution on the information provided are essential skills Introducing new products, reinforcing established and agreed upon case volume and display activity, and monitoring in-store promotion results Staying abreast of business/market conditions, recognizing new opportunities within each account, maintaining the necessary territory records and supporting the sales representative's visibility and market saturation in the account Building and developing the trust and confidence of the retailer through knowledge of SGWS policies and procedures coupled with a prompt, courteous resolution of inventory discrepancies Performing other job-related duties as assigned Additional primary responsibilities include: Two years of experience Ability to maintain a valid drivers license and auto liability insurance by state laws Must be at least 21 years of age Physical demands may include: Sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer or mobile device Walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping Lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56lbs This position is deemed a safety-sensitive position.
