Senior Estimator - Process Electrical
In this role, you will develop accurate, detailed construction cost estimates for all electrical-related trades at all project design stages. You will mentor and train team members, while following the Preconstruction standards and processes. Your responsibilities will include: Developing accurate, detailed electrical construction cost estimates at progressive design stages Developing associated scope of work clarifications Identifying risk items and associated order of magnitude Assisting with Preconstruction resource management Assisting with the development and utilization of the Preconstruction processes, standards and tools Assisting the Pricing Lead and participates in estimate review meetings Contributing to cost savings exercises Assisting with the development of bid packages Assisting with the project construction budget Assisting with Preconstruction-Operations Turnover Meetings Assisting with Subcontractor and Vendor relationships Assisting with project procurement and buyout Collaborating with Preconstruction Leadership Collaborating with designers and clients Collaborating and assists the project operations team Following project construction costs and market trends Participating in Preconstruction software development, maintenance and historical costs Leading and training Estimating personnel Traveling as required, 10% - 20% Other duties which may be assigned as needed Education/Experience: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or accredited construction-related curriculum (Electrical Engineering preferred) A minimum of 5 years of estimating experience preferred or 15 years of relevant experience in the construction industry To thrive in this role, you'll need: Demonstrated electrical estimating experience preparing quantity surveys and cost estimates for all electrical construction scopes of work, requiring complete knowledge of labor, material, equipment and subcontractor costs Knowledge of electrical codes with the ability to utilize at all levels of design Ability to read and estimate from P and ID's Experience within Industrial markets, including Food and Beverage, Manufacturing and Consumer Products Estimating experience with Process and Packaging equipment Estimating experience with Automation and Controls Proficient with on screen takeoff software, such as Trimble Livecount Estimating software experience required, Trimble Accubid, and Beck Destini Estimator preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Design-Build and CMAR project delivery method experience Proven computer skills, including the utilization of Microsoft Office programs Revit/Navisworks experience preferred At Haskell, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, professional development opportunities, and more.
