Loan Assistant Position
Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is hiring a Full-Time Loan Assistant for our Grove Creek branch. Essential functions include providing administrative support to the loan officer and team, communicating with customers and prospects to reduce friction in the loan production and portfolio management processes, and assisting in collecting, filing, and organizing customer financials and information. The role also involves interacting with business owners and other professionals in person, by email, and telephone, working with other departments in the bank to help with loan production, documentation, and portfolio management, composing letters and memoranda, editing written communications, and taking meeting minutes in loan team meetings. The candidate must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. It is the individual learner's responsibility to ensure that they understand the information given to them in each training. If the learner does not understand the information given, they need to reach out to their supervisor for further clarification or additional training. Duties and responsibilities include adhering to Altabank Core Values, keeping management appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems, participating in community service and bank sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of the Altabank, providing superior internal and external customer service, representing Altabank in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive "can-do" attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs, keeping work area tidy and maintaining customer privacy, attending and participating in meetings as required, and regular and predictable attendance to accomplish, among other things, in-person contact with customers. Other duties as assigned. Duties can change. Schedule: Monday-Friday 9-5 About You: Knowledge, skill, ability: Experience one year to two years of similar or related experience. Education a high school education or GED. Required knowledge: skills and abilities must have reasonable understanding of a bank and the loan process, strong computer skills in word processing and Excel spreadsheets, high interpersonal skills, strong verbal communication and customer service skills, strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Employee must be capable of interacting calmly and professionally with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds at various levels within and outside of the organization. Employee must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance. Ability to adapt to change (e.g. shifting priorities, demands, and timelines) through time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
