Placement Specialist - QSG FINPRO
We are seeking a Placement Specialist role within our QSG FINPRO group. This hybrid role is located in New York City and involves designing the placement strategy and negotiating with carriers to secure the best terms, conditions, coverage, and pricing for clients while making actionable recommendations to the client and client team.
Essential Functions
Analyzes client’s current and historical exposures, develops solutions, solicits quotes, negotiates with panel markets, compares options, and recommends strategies to the client team.
Delivers marketing results to the Client Team and participates in communications and presentations with clients.
Collaborates with the client team to develop insurance program structure and compliance strategies.
Manages order bind and ensures program accuracy based on client direction.
Reviews client exposures and loss experience using risk expertise and industry knowledge.
Assesses client needs and develops solutions to risk situations across the complexity spectrum.
Participates in pre‑strategy meetings to create renewal strategy.
Follows up on open items and subjectivities.
Stays abreast of changing global and international risk and insurance market conditions.
Builds and maintains relationships with carriers, underwriters, and client teams to provide best‑in‑class service.
Manages workflow system activities to ensure timely follow‑up by client, carriers, and client team.
Provides general problem‑solving for client issues.
Identifies new products and suggests innovative solutions to the Client Team/Client (segment driven).

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a matrix team environment.
Ability to communicate with impact to clients, employees, and management across all levels.
Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and communication skills.
Ability to work with deadlines and changing priorities.
Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
Solid knowledge of market risk issues, insurance brokerage, account management, servicing, and sales skills.
Proficient knowledge of business systems and technology.
What makes you stand out
Prior insurance experience, with a broker or carrier.
Broker’s License preferred, or ability to obtain.
BS/BA degree preferred.

Base Salary Range:
$92,500 to $197,100.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $92,500 to $197,100. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives. We are excited to offer a competitive total rewards package which includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401K savings and other retirement programs as well as employee assistance programs.
