We’re hiring an
Accounting Specialist
to join a growing, organization in the life sciences space. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and wants to grow alongside an expanding business. The position will initially focus on Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, while also supporting the month-end close and broader finance operations.
What you’ll be doing:
Analyze customer accounts and identify payment issues
Generate and distribute customer invoices
Enter and manage wholesale orders not processed via EDI
Reconcile customer and vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies
Follow up on, collect, and apply customer payments
Process vendor invoices through the AP system
Support employee expense report processing
Prepare and file sales and use tax returns
Prepare journal entries in QuickBooks Online
Assist with month-end close activities
What we’re looking for:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly detail-oriented and organized
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
3+ years of accounting or finance experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online
Experience with Avalara is a plus
$80,000 - $88,000 a year
