Sales Support Specialist
Act as the primary technical resource for Territory Managers, assisting with the identification, testing, and successful implementation of products in new or complex customer applications. Provide impactful product demos and Lunch & Learn programs that accelerate sales cycles and strengthen team product expertise. Lead the creation, documentation, and technical validation of engraved or marked product samples for potential customers, ensuring they accurately represent product capabilities and meet application requirements. Create and maintain a library of technical specifications, application guides, best practices, and troubleshooting documentation for the sales organization. Facilitate communications between the sales team and product/marketing teams, gather field intelligence on product performance, customer needs, and competitive activities to inform future strategy and product development. Develop and deliver comprehensive technical and application training programs to onboard new sales staff and educate existing team members on new product features, strategic shifts, and best-practice sample presentation techniques. Work with the sales team to ensure their approach, messaging, and operational processes align with the established sales strategy. This includes identifying opportunities and developing solutions to facilitate strategy adoption. In conjunction with the sales manager, monitor the technical proficiency of the sales team and recommend targeted coaching or training to address skill gaps. The Sales Support Specialist plays a critical, cross-functional role, bridging the gap between sales and technical execution. This position is responsible for ensuring the Gravotech sales team is equipped with the necessary tools, technical expertise, and strategic understanding to succeed. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical background and a passion for coaching and process improvement. Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical discipline). 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales, application support, or technical sales role. Proven ability to create high-quality, technically sound engraved product samples or prototypes. Excellent communication, presentation, and coaching skills. Demonstrated ability to learn and articulate complex technical concepts. Ability to develop a deep understanding of the organization's overarching sales strategy, including target markets, competitive positioning, and core value propositions.
