SAP Functional Support Specialist (6-Month Contract)
The SAP Functional Support Specialist will provide hands-on support during the critical Go-Live phase of a new SAP implementation and deliver first-level functional support post Go-Live. The position requires strong working knowledge of SAP MM, SD, and PP modules, and the ability to troubleshoot issues, guide users, and ensure smooth business continuity. What We Are Looking For: Lead IT-enabled manufacturing projects (APS, MES, WMS, ERP integration). Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, reporting, and risk registers. Coordinate activities across IT, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance. Facilitate workshops with operations and supply chain stakeholders. Gather functional and technical requirements and convert them into solution specs. Ensure solutions meet corporate IT architecture, cybersecurity, and data governance standards. Act as the business interface to the SAP implementation team. Ensure production, logistics, planning, and warehouse processes are accurately mapped in SAP. Support functional testing, validation, cutover, and readiness activities. Assess current-state digital capabilities and propose target-state IT architecture for the factory. Identify automation, digitalization, and Industry 4.0 opportunities. Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing systems. Lead cross-functional communication, steering committee reporting, and senior-management updates. Align project milestones with operational readiness. Ensure adherence to cybersecurity, data privacy, quality, and operational compliance standards. Anticipate risks and implement mitigation and contingency planning. What Will You Bring: Proven experience implementing or leading APS, MES, WMS, and ERP (SAP) programs. Strong background in manufacturing, supply chain, or digital transformation. Demonstrated project or program leadership (PMP/Prince2 advantage). Ability to translate business needs into IT specifications. Excellent communication, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder-engagement skills. Experience supporting factory launches or greenfield environments is a strong advantage.
