Activities Assistant, Part-time

SHIFTS AVAILABLE: Fridays & Saturdays (11-20 hours per pay period); hours/shift times are flexible 8:30AM-4:30PM, including every other weekend (20-25 hours/week) Why Choose Greenwood Village South? Your Responsibilities: Activity Planning and Implementation: Assist the Coordinator with planning Friday and Saturday activities on the monthly Activity Calendar. Responsible for attending and executing on-campus activities and off-campus outings for the independent living community. Activities encompass the Eight Dimensions of Wellness which include but are not limited to physical/wellness activities, special events, religious activities, field trips, emotional and cognitive activities, etc. Communications and Reporting: Point of contact for residents for activities-related questions and information. Assists with department communications such as the Village Voice, monthly activities calendar, event flyers, etc. Inter-Departmental Collaboration: Works collaboratively with internal GVS departments to ensure activities have the support needed to run smoothly. This includes catering requests, room set-up, transportation, equipment set up, etc. Resident Relationship Building: Builds relationships with residents and encourages participation in independent living activities. Participates in new resident meetings to understand their needs and requests from the community. Technology: Works closely with GVS IT department to ensure technology is working appropriately for all on-campus activities. Additional Administrative Tasks as assigned by the Community Life Services Director or Community Life Services Coordinator. Other Duties: Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by Director. Completes in-service training and education programs as assigned. Ability to work evenings and/or weekends.
