Vaco has partnered with a client in the legal industry in Denver, CO to hire a Billing Specialist with at least one year of experience to join its Accounting team. This role supports a client-centered environment, ensuring accurate and timely billing processes.
Work location:
In office, downtown Denver, for first 90 days; then possibility for a hybrid schedule Job type:
full time Pay:
$28.85/hour – $38.46/hour (based on experience, education, and skill level) Expected hours:
38-40 hours per week Physical setting:

Monday to Friday Experience:
At least one year of general accounting or billing experience; legal billing and electronic billing experience preferred
Responsibilities
Preparing, reviewing, and editing client pre-bills and final invoices
Processing write-offs and write-downs with proper approvalsli>
Maintaining accurate billing system data
Responding to attorney inquiries regarding bills and billing procedures
Following established billing cycles and cut‑off dates
Ensuring adherence to internal billing policies
Managing multiple tasks independently and meeting deadlines
Assisting with basic financial analysis and reviewing billing histories
Requirements
Associate’s degree in accounting, business, or equivalent experience
At least one year of general accounting or billing experience; legal billing and electronic billing experience preferred
Experience with specialized billing/accounting software strongly preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with numerical data
High attention to detail and accuracy
