Virginia Farm Bureau is seeking a customer focused
Virtual Auto Claims Representative (VACR)
to join our claims team.
Position Summary Prepare automotive repair estimates which accurately reflect the reasonable dollar cost of the damage sustained and settle total loss vehicles on behalf of the company. In this position this will be accomplished by using photos provided by the customer, shop, or other vendor through company approved means.
Primary Duties
Prepare virtual repair and total loss appraisals through the use of photos and other company approved means in accordance with company and industry procedures.
Authorize supplemental repairs and/or payments as needed.
Process physical damage payments following the company standard operation procedure.
Settle total loss vehicles, move salvage within time limits established for this procedure.
Negotiate auto claim losses with insured, claimant and vendors.
Additional Duties
Assist subrogation and SIU with cases that require physical damage knowledge.
Maintain high degree of training (learn new auto repair techniques).
All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Manager.
Minimum Educational/Experience Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
3 years minimum material damage experience
Minimum Skill Qualifications
Strong MS Office skills and experience working with estimating software
Prior field estimated body shop experience
Proven ability to settle total loss vehicles
Strong estimating and negotiation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
High level of initiative
Professional attitude and appearance
Proven ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
College or equivalent experience
Prior body shop or estimating experience
Hold Claims Adjusters License in one or more state outside of Virginia
