Certified Medication Aide
Observe residents for symptoms and conditions that could be related to medication interactions, adverse drug reactions or medication side effects and report any problems to the nurse. Monitors medications to ensure adequate accountability measures are taken when medication is ordered, received into the facility, administered and at a shift change as required applicable state/federal regulations. Demonstrate awareness of proper infection control practice by using Universal Precautions and following policies and procedures, including OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogen Standards. Assist with resident care as needed. Willing to work as a Certified Nurse Aide when needed. Qualifications: Must have a current Medication Aide Certification and CNA certification in the State of Texas. Must be in good standing on the Nursing Assistant Registry in the State of Texas and the Nurse Aide Misconduct Registry. Must be able to work double weekends.
