Bronco Electric, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Estimator with at least 3 years of experience in commercial and industrial projects.
Position Summary The Estimating Department is responsible for producing project‑specific construction estimates based on client requirements.
Responsibilities
Develop accurate and timely electrical construction estimates for bids and proposals using McCormick.
Analyze and interpret detailed drawings and specifications.
Perform quantity takeoffs and correctly input data into estimating software.
Evaluate and price value‑engineered alternatives to plans and specifications.
Prepare budget pricing from schematic drawings and narratives.
Draft scope letters, proposals, and vendor solicitations.
Participate in job walks, pre‑bid meetings, and client/design professional conferences.
Support ongoing development and maintenance of computerized estimating programs and databases.
Work effectively under deadlines in a professional and composed manner.
Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and engineers on change orders and project cost estimates.
Assist in developing and maintaining company standards for estimating electrical design/build and plan/spec work.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of electrical estimating experience on commercial and industrial projects.
At least 1 year of design/build estimating experience preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and a major estimating software program.
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.
Work is performed in both office and field settings; standard office equipment is used regularly.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively.
Vision requirements include seeing close‑up and adjusting focus as needed.

Schedule & Hours
Standard schedule is Monday through Friday.
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on project needs.
Employees are entitled to meal and rest breaks in accordance with California law.
