Billing Specialist
Position Overview
The Billing Specialist is responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in invoicing and payments. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to streamline billing operations and maintain financial records. Key Responsibilities
Process and generate invoices for clients and projects Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely payment collection Maintain accurate billing records and documentation Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements Support the accounting team with general ledger entries and reconciliations Perform data entry tasks related to billing and invoicing Respond to billing inquiries from clients and resolve discrepancies Maintain organized filing systems for billing documentation Utilize automated accounting systems to enhance efficiency Monitor and report on overdue accounts to management Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field 5+ years of experience in Accounting with strong understanding of accounting principles and practices Experience working in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry Proficiency in automated accounting software. Deltek – Ajera, Vision, VantagePoint highly preferred Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy Familiarity with invoicing and payroll processes Ability to work with spreadsheets, charts, and graphs in Excel Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Health, Dental, Vision Insurance – Company pays 99 % of employee coverage for Health, 100 % for Dental and Vision 401 K Plan – contribution up to 8 % of total compensation Bonus – Performance based – up to 8 % of base salary paid semi‑annually PTO (Vacation/Sick/Holiday) – 8 company holidays, 15 PTO days, and 5 long‑term sick days Short‑term, Long‑term and Life Insurance AD&D – Company pays 100 % Continuing Education Professional Registration/Licensing and Certification
