Southeast Culvert is a leading manufacturer and distributor of storm drainage and water quality products and is looking to expand our sales team into Florida. We offer a wide variety of products for the storm drainage market, including Corrugated Metal Pipe, High Density Corrugated Plastic Pipe, Water Quality Solutions, Underground Detention, Concrete Headwalls, and other complementary products.

Responsibilities
Technical Expertise: Sales engineers must have a deep understanding of the products they are selling. This includes technical specifications, design principles, installation guidelines, and potential liability/limitations.
Customer Engagement: Engage with engineering professionals to understand their needs through onsite visits, product demonstrations, and technical discussions.
Solution Development: Leverage technical knowledge to find solutions that meet specific customer requirements.
Sales Support: Assist the sales team with preliminary design/technical input, submittals, cost estimates, presentations, and help close deals with contractors.
Dealer Support: Assist the Dealer Sales Team with preliminary design/technical input, submittals, cost estimates, presentations, and help close deals with dealers.
Training and Support: Provide pre‑construction meetings onsite for installation, evaluate products installed in the field, and offer support when field issues arise.
Competencies
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both high‑level engineers and non‑technical laborers in the field.
Translate technical information into clear, concise explanations.
Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams through active listening, empathy, and collaboration.
Present solutions to customers using various presentation tools and techniques.
Maintain high technical proficiency, staying up to date with latest developments, emerging technologies, competitive products, and applying this knowledge to sales efforts.
Commit to continuous learning through formal training, industry conferences, or self‑study.
Effective problem‑solving abilities at the core of the sales engineer role.
Build and maintain credibility with both customers and sales teams.
Education
Civil Engineer degree required
PE certification strongly desired
Flexible work from home options available.
