Our Billing Co. is seeking a full‑time
Patient Account Management Specialist
to join our team. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure the timely management of patient accounts from a financial perspective, including the resolution of COB issues and the collection of patient receipts for pre‑ and post‑services. The specialist will also conduct training and education sessions for new and existing registration staff and support other billing initiatives as needed.
Essential Functions
Develop and follow workflows to facilitate pre‑ and post‑service collections across all service lines.
Work with patients directly to resolve COB issues, ensuring payment for services.
Contact patients regarding financial non‑compliance, facilitating payment and/or coordinating payment arrangements.
Coordinate patient discharges in accordance with company policy.
Assist with the development of group and individual training materials for registration personnel.
Coordinate and instruct both group and individual registration training sessions as required.
Provide direct on‑site (medical office) training to registration personnel as required.
Facilitate the reprocessing of medical claims.
Assist with pre‑registration activities as required.
Work with patients to help them understand their individual insurance plans and financial obligations.
Deliver exemplary customer service to provide a positive patient experience across the organization.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
Minimum/Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma required.
3 years of experience in front‑end medical office or back‑end medical billing.
Specialized knowledge of medical collections experience preferred.
Special Skills: Self‑motivated, strong customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communication, PC literate.
Compensation & Benefits Competitive Benefits Package.
Pay Range: $23.00 to $26.00 per hour.
Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, considering market data, education, experience, and internal equity.
This position requires constant sitting in an office environment. Employees may be asked to occasionally perform other movements or physical tasks. Workplace accommodations may be available for employees in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
