Loan Processor / Financial Services Representative - Bilingual
Join Cornerstone Credit Union in South Beloit, IL, to help members navigate loan applications. This is not a remote position.
Essential Functions
Perform routine member transactions including account inquiries & updates, transfers, check withdrawals, stop payments, and request for check and statement copies.
Independently open and close membership accounts, including lending and deposit accounts (e.g., consumer loans, deposit accounts, money markets), ensuring precision.
Review applications for accuracy, determine debt ratio, income, credit checks, collateral, and other requirements, and collect required CIPs.
Prepare loan applications for underwriters and liaise effectively to ensure smooth approvals.
Actively seek opportunities to cross‑sell CCU technology and services (EARS, CCU website, debit card, mobile capture, CU Branch, CU Bill Pay, GAP, Credit Life & Disability, etc.).
Respond to member inquiries via telephone, in person, or email in both English and Spanish in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.
Assist members with loan inquiries, loan applications, loan balance/payoffs, quote NADA values, and AutoCare premiums.
Redeem U.S. Savings Bonds and direct members to online purchases of U.S. Savings Bonds.
Engage with the dynamic team and manager to ensure monthly lending goals are met and help build the membership base.
Maintain awareness of and comply with regulatory and compliance issues for consumer loans and deposit accounts.
Maintain a professional appearance and an excellent attendance record, including punctuality and preparation.

Education
HS Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
Two or more years in a financial institution with prior consumer lending and deposit account experience.
NMLS registration is a plus.
Sales experience is a plus.
Skills Required
Bilingual English/Spanish fluency required.
Service‑mindful and team‑oriented.
Basic PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Effective member relationship and cross‑selling skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Performance Standards
Meet new accounts goal monthly.
Meet Credit Disability monthly goal on eligible loans.
Meet Credit Life monthly goal on eligible loans.
Meet goal on Mechanical Repair Coverage Policies sold monthly.
Meet goal on GAP Policies sold monthly.
Meet minimum monthly loan volume goal.
Pay $23.00–$28.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
