Private Label Account Specialist

OBJECTIVE:
This position serves as the primary contact between Private Label customers such as WSI, AKA Pottery Barn and is accountable for facilitating new development and new offerings for the account. Develops a trusting relationship with customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary contact for Sales, Purchasing, Product development and Customer Service at a high level.
Work closely with the EVP of Private label on assortment review, offerings, and line planning process.
Able to direct design concepts and spec information, analyze required information/details before disseminating them to customers as well as the suppliers.
Daily communication and follow-up with overseas suppliers.
Assist with entering, auditing, and analyzing new and existing product data information including costing, pricing, dimensions, materials, parts, and supplier information in various internal systems.
Product set up request for ERP and SKU maintenance as required.
Navigate, monitor, and complete task requirements in account Portal using a PLM (Product Lifecycle management system).
Coordinate production timeline requirements with a sense of urgency, diligence, and attention to detail.
Maintain communication on updates in customer vendor guidelines to ensure the company is compliant.
Have a clear understanding of the supply chain process for direct container shipping from overseas direct to customers using portal designated by customers such as G.T. Nexus or AGL.
Work with cross functional teams such as Inventory control, Imports, Accounting Departments along with our India support team.
Works closely with compliance and QC team overseas to address any potential quality issues.
Tracking private-label orders to assure on-time delivery of goods per account requirements, including direct container orders.
Suggest actions to improve sales performance and Identify opportunities for growth.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
High level of proficiency in Excel; proficiency in Microsoft Office
AA Degree or BA/BS Degree in related field
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in private label account management.
Basic knowledge of project management within the home décor industry a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Critical thinking abilities
Ability to multi-task several priorities and possess solid time management skills
