is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused
Loan Officer Assistant (LOA)
to join our dynamic team. The Loan Officer Assistant is a key team member supporting one of our Mortgage Loan Officer teams. This role is crucial in ensuring timely customer service and administrative support assisting with loans being processed swiftly, accurately, and within compliance standards, providing a seamless experience for both our Loan Officers and Clients. This position may also provide an opportunity to become a licensed Mortgage Loan Officer, which includes completing additional state licensing requirements and training.

Job Description Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate the completion of loan applications, coordinate collection of documentation, and prepare loan files for processing.
Maintain knowledge of related mortgage policies, procedures, regulations, and investor guidelines.
Request and gather relevant information/documents from borrowers to complete applications and disclosures.
Communicate effectively with loan officers, referral partners, realtors, clients, and other parties throughout the loan process.
Monitor and manage a loan pipeline, including conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and other loan products.
Review loan package paperwork for accuracy and completeness, reporting any inconsistencies or errors to the officer.
Order appraisals and other third-party services to create loan packages for processing.
Coordinate closing details and facilitate timely closings by working with title companies and clients.
Secure and perfect collateral and oversee organized loan files, ensuring all documents are complete.
Provide general clerical and phone support, assisting loan officers and team as necessary.
Qualifications Skills & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
required, associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
Minimum of
1+ years of experience
as a loan officer/originator assistant, loan partner, loan officer/originator, loan processor, and/or underwriter.
The ability to learn, or have past in-depth experience, in mortgage loans, with a preference in residential mortgages.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
Familiarity with loan origination systems like LendingPad.
