Contract Immigration Attorney – Removal Defense (El Centro, CA)

We are seeking a skilled
Contract Immigration Attorney
to handle
Immigration Court appearances in Southern California
- especially
detained cases . This role is ideal for an attorney who is confident in removal defense litigation and wants flexible, contract-based work with the opportunity to transition into a
full salaried position after 6 months .
Responsibilities
Represent clients at
master calendar
and
individual hearings
in El Centro Immigration Court
Handle bond hearings, detained and non-detained matters, and related removal defense issues
Review case files and coordinate with our team before each appearance
Write briefs, motions, and develop case strategy
Provide timely post-hearing notes and communication with the firm
Maintain professionalism, client advocacy, and ethical standards
Qualifications
Licensed attorney in good standing in any U.S. state (California preferred)
At least 1 year of experience in
immigration court litigation
Familiarity with asylum, cancellation of removal, waivers, and related forms of relief
Strong oral advocacy, writing ability, and courtroom confidence
Reliable transportation to the El Centro and Otay Mesa Immigration Court
Spanish language skills a plus but not required
Compensation & Benefits
