Call Center Customer Service Representative (Remote | 1099 Independent Contractor) Empire Connect Agency is seeking professional, detail-oriented Remote Customer Service Representatives to help support customers of various clients! In this role, you will handle inbound and outbound customer service calls, assisting with account inquiries, product support, billing questions, and general customer needs. This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity that offers flexibility, autonomy, and the ability to work from the comfort of your home.

Responsibilities Answer inbound and outbound calls from to support customers of various clients

Accurately enter information into our client database

Provide a high level of customer service with empathy, patience, and professionalism

Maintain a quiet and distraction-free work environment

Demonstrating consistent, high-level performance may lead to enhanced opportunities and expanded roles.

Requirements Minimum of 6 months remote call center experience or 1 year of in-office (brick-and-mortar) call center experience

Clear communication skills and strong soft skills, including active listening, patience, and professionalism

Provide excellent customer service, addressing questions and concerns

Must have a quiet home office environment

No criminal history (a background check is required)

Must be comfortable working as a 1099 independent contractor

Schedule Client service hours vary and may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the specific client program you select. Agents have the flexibility to select service intervals that align with their availability and the needs of the supported client.

Flexible scheduling—contractors may select shifts based on availability and business needs

Contractors must be dependable and committed to their selected hours

Tech Requirements

No Chromebooks or Apple computers

Must have Windows 11 OS

Minimum 16GB RAM (desktop or laptop)

Dual monitors (not needed at time of application)

Noise‑cancelling USB headset (not needed at time of application)

Hardwired internet connection

Starting pay of $12-$15/hour (with increase opportunities)
