Direct Care Worker

Direct Care Position – Pearl Street Home – Cadillac (Residential Care Aide)
Located in Cadillac
Starting wage: $17.13 per hour
Full‑time and part‑time positions available.
Paid training, PTO, benefits, holiday pay.
The Northern Lakes Community Mental Health Authority (NLCMHA) is a 300‑employee organization serving people who live with intellectual/developmental disabilities, serious mental illness, and substance use disorders from six counties in Michigan. Among many community mental health services, NLCMHA directly operates six licensed specialized residential homes and a small group of supervised independent living apartments using a team of up to seventy full‑time and part‑time employees. These residential homes are located in Crawford, Roscommon, and Wexford counties. This Residential Care Aide position will serve residents in one of those homes. Position Duties/Responsibilities
Work in a "Culture of Gentleness" environment
Implement Person Centered Planning
Provide personal care
Assist with activities of daily living
Administer medication
Prepare meals
Clean and sanitize living areas
Transport residents as needed
Enter data electronically
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years old
Michigan driver’s license (unrestricted)
High school diploma or GED
Pass a physical exam (including lift test)
Pass a criminal background check
Negative TB test
