Associate, Energy Trading

Key Responsibilities
Contribute toward the global business strategy for Energy Trading to drive growth aligned to the group and lead the implementation of the strategy within the team.
Contribute toward the automation and improvement of the product offering for clients.
Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the Group's business strategy and model appropriate to the role.
Identify opportunities for Energy Trading, specifically in North American Natural Gas and client segments.
Demonstrate awareness of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates.
Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations, and prevent money laundering under the Group Policy and local laws.
Highlight any need to update procedures and controls due to changes in products, systems, policy or regulations.
Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in a related area.
Leadership & Culture
Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values, setting tone and expectations for the team while collaborating with risk and control partners.
Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development, and that critical functions are suitably skilled and supervised to mitigate risks.
As a senior trader, contribute to skills development of team members through sharing knowledge, experience and providing market colour.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Background in Financial Mathematics.
Experience in Market Risk.
Experience in Trading.
