Job Overview Receiving & Shipping Specialist – Umicore – Quapaw, OK

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain procedures to review documents and invoices from service providers for compliance and accuracy.

Ensure all outgoing shipments are packaged per the work instructions and appropriate paperwork and labels are placed inside and/or outside the box as required.

Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, sales/purchase orders and other records to ensure compliance with shipping/receiving defined priorities.

Receive incoming shipments (including all associated paperwork and reports); notify representatives of issues such as damaged, shortage or non-conformance; deliver to appropriate recipient.

Use software applications for shipping and receiving activities including SAP and shipping company specific software (UPS, FedEx, Yellow, etc.).

Ensure paperwork is complete and accurate.

Assist with unpacking/repacking germanium, GASIR and other materials.

Identify all areas in the shipping/receiving room where product is stored and maintain the designation as new product is introduced.

Conduct periodic cycle counts for shipping/receiving and storeroom to ensure shipping supply inventory is sufficient.

Ensure all equipment needed for shipping/receiving is in good operating condition.

Education & Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1‑3 years related experience.

Air Transportation of Dangerous Goods

Domestic Hazardous Materials Shipping

International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG)

Forklift certification
