Senior Paralegal – Commercial Contracts

Position Overview The Senior Paralegal supports the company’s commercial contracting activities. Working closely with attorneys, sales, revenue operations, and finance, the paralegal reviews, negotiates, and manages a wide range of commercial agreements, ensuring compliance with company policy and legal requirements while driving process efficiencies.
Location is one of our major East Coast offices: Atlanta, GA; Richmond, VA; or Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, and edit commercial contracts including licensing agreements, NDAs, and data processing agreements.
Assist attorneys and stakeholders in negotiating contract terms to align with company objectives and risk tolerance.
Maintain a centralized contract repository, track key dates and obligations, and ensure timely execution and renewal of agreements.
Develop and update contract templates, playbooks, and process documentation.
Train junior paralegals and business teams on contract policies, procedures, and best practices.
Coordinate with internal departments (procurement, sales, finance) to gather information and facilitate contract approvals and required documentation.
Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and appropriately escalates issues.
Assist with dispute resolution and contract enforcement matters, including preparing summaries and supporting documentation.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not‑for‑profit institution.
Five or more years of paralegal experience, with at least three dedicated to commercial contracts.
Strong understanding of contract law, commercial transactions, and business operations.
Excellent drafting, editing, and negotiation skills.
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and contract‑management systems (Salesforce preferred).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
A track record of commitment to prior employers.
Preferred Qualifications
Paralegal certification.
Experience in a corporate legal department or law‑firm setting.
Experience with lease administration/lease‑accounting software platforms.
Demonstrated success working with OKRs and performance metrics.
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
