About This Role An Executive Partner (EP) in the Forrester executive program for technology executives is a client’s trusted adviser and thought partner. By building deep relationships with clients and their teams, this role will:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of a client’s key priorities, company environment, and personal aspirations.
Provide candid, actionable feedback on strategies and initiatives.
Help each client identify and make decisions critical to success.
Bring the best of the Forrester ecosystem (research, consulting, events) to clients in a timely and tailored manner.
In the process, the EP will help senior technology executives and their teams develop customer‑focused, high‑performance IT strategies that enable organizational resilience and foster creativity.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic business advisor to executive‑program clients, applying Forrester’s research and your own practitioner experience.
Manage 15 to 20 senior client relationships.
Partner with sales and customer‑service teams to deepen client‑account relationships.
Create a comprehensive delivery plan grounded in Forrester intellectual property (decision tools, frameworks, research).
Represent the voice of the customer to assist research with content creation.
Provide proactive business development support to Forrester’s sales organization.
Be a thought leader in the technology space through social media and speaking at external events.
Job Requirements
15+ years of proven experience in technology leadership (e.g., CIO, CTO, CDO, or senior consultant to those in technology leadership roles).
Experience working at or with the U.S. federal government is a plus.
Holding or ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance (preferably Top Secret).
Deep familiarity with the IT industry, the role of the CIO, and digital transformation, change management, cybersecurity, business model innovation, automation, and intelligent systems.
Understanding of how IT creates business value and aligns IT and business strategies.
Strong executive presence and proven ability to make a positive impression with C‑suite executives.
Excellent collaboration, partnering, and influencing skills.
Alignment with Forrester’s values: client‑focus, collaboration, courage, integrity, and quality.
Superior presentation skills.
Compensation and Benefits Base salary: $180,000 – $294,000 (U.S. geographies, except NYC, SF, and Georgia). Salary ranges for specific locations: Georgia $162,000 – $264,000; NYC & SF $207,000 – $339,000. Bonus target: 15%.
