Electronics Repair and Assembly Technician

located in Richardson, Texas, is a subsidiary of Wireless CCTV Ltd originally established and located in the UK. WCCTV is the market leader for rapid deployment, mobile surveillance systems specifically designed to deliver video securely and efficiently via 4G LTE networks.
WCCTV is looking for an experienced Electronics Repair and Assembly Technician for our Repair/Production department in Richardson, TX.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform troubleshooting and repair of cameras, including disassembly and reassembly according to established quality standards. Test all repaired products ensuring the exact specification and quality is met and completing the task within the production schedule.
Analyze test failures, troubleshoot, identify root cause of failures, and verify corrective actions.
Complete all repair‑related documentation.
Contribute to the development of processes and procedures for the department.
Perform assembly of electronic and/or electro‑mechanical products and sub‑assemblies of Company products in accordance with established workmanship standards and assembly drawings and documentation.
Perform wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable prep for units.
Responsible for quality control of the assembled parts.
Collaborate with peers and/or supervisors to resolve problems depending on the level and complexity.
Program surveillance cameras (analog and IP).
Maintain good housekeeping and safety principles in the completion of all work assignments.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and 2–4 years of prior electronics troubleshooting and repair experience, preferably with CCTV security camera equipment. Current or past certification for IPC‑A‑610 and J‑STD‑001 soldering is preferred.
Technical aptitude and demonstrated ability to interpret wiring schematics, diagrams, and assembly drawings and follow detailed work instructions. Experience using hand tools and power tools.
Ability to read and understand assembly instructions, work orders, standard operation procedures, and all other documentation used in the assembly and testing of products.
Understanding and application of established acceptable workmanship practices to all facets of electronic repair and assembly.
Strong hand‑eye coordination and dexterity required; ability to distinguish colors for repair and assembly of product.
High attention to detail, effective time management, and organizational skills required. Demonstrated ability to be highly productive with minimal guidance or supervision.
English speaking, reading, and writing proficiency as it relates to the job requirements.
Physical ability to see, stand, bend, reach, walk, push, pull, carry, and lift up to 35 lbs.
Full‑time position Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional overtime may be required during the week.
Starting hourly rate of
$17 to $20 per hour
depending on specific education, technical skills, and industry work experience.
10 days paid vacation (increases with length of service) + seven (7) paid Company holidays.
