Overview Prev Med Specialist at Applied Training Solutions, LLC (ATS) will conduct Higher Headquarters Assessments for U.S. Army installations on behalf of the U.S. Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM). The specialist will apply pandemic illness/disease, food defense, and water defense expertise to identify, assess, and mitigate health hazards that may compromise mission readiness and protect Army families.
Responsibilities
Provide pandemic illness/disease, food defense, and water defense expertise.
Analyze conditions and demographics that could lead to or enable the spread of disease or illness across populations.
Examine and assess food processing, production, transportation, supply‑chain traceability, storage, preparation, service, and consumption to identify risks affecting protection.
Examine water supply networks—including raw water sources, treatment infrastructure, and distribution systems—to identify protection risks and develop course‑of‑action recommendations.
Conduct medical and public‑health activities that identify, prepare for, and respond to health hazards and emergencies.
Develop advanced pattern‑detection and prediction modeling to identify health conditions that differ pre‑ and post‑deployment among military service members.
Develop computer‑vision models to accelerate discovery of health outcomes related to deployment status or trauma effects on soldier readiness.
Qualifications
A medical degree in preventive medicine.
Ability to assess patients’ health risks and provide appropriate advice.
Knowledge of epidemiology, biostatistics, and health services.
Experience with health‑promotion and disease‑prevention programmes.
Proficiency in using electronic health records and patient‑management systems.
Secret clearance.
Travel
Estimated 25% travel.
