In Person Position Summary:
Bulldog Fire Apparatus is seeking Auto Body Technicians to work in our Woodville (Hopkinton), MA service facility. We are looking for friendly, knowledgeable, detail-oriented individuals with auto body repair experience. Emergency vehicle repair experience is also preferred. Must be able to work individually or with other technicians in our repair facility. Perform all aspects of automotive painting including overall and spot painting, blending, color matching, single-stage, and base-clear processes. Prepare and mix paint to match manufacturer’s color specifications with precision. Operate and maintain paint guns, nozzles, and related equipment; ensure proper cleaning and storage of all paint tools and materials. Demonstrate knowledge of solvents, epoxies, and safety practices related to automotive painting. Conduct thorough vehicle prep including sanding, masking, and verifying readiness for paint application. Mask equipment efficiently and accurately within required timeframes to meet production goals. Inspect and verify prep work to ensure quality standards are met before painting begins. Work both independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines and maintain high customer satisfaction. Exhibit strong attention to detail, a skilled eye for color and finish, and the ability to follow manufacturer guidelines. Physical Requirements

At Bulldog, we have a well-known history and dedication to the fire and EMS industry. The business was originally established in 1933 by Clarence Farrar as a fire apparatus manufacturer. A national dealer, the company produced a wide range of fire apparatus. They were most recognized for their Brush Breaker and front mount pump specialty trucks. In 1985, the company was purchased by Edward J. Murphy and renamed the EJ Murphy Co. Under Murphy’s leadership, we stopped manufacturing many of our fire apparatus and instead focused on “boutique” work that other larger fire manufacturers could not deliver on. Due to their popularity, we continued to make the Brush Breaker and our tankers, which we still manufacture today.
