Overview The Guest Relations Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service experiences. They will handle membership and program sales, provide information, answer program and service questions, and check in visitors for the Modesto Red Shield.
Duties And Responsibilities
Greet guests as they enter the building and ensure they feel welcome and have a positive experience
Process all guest inquiries and sales by maintaining knowledge of current programs, services, and fees
Answer phone calls, direct calls, and take messages to email staff immediately
Provide administrative support including filing, data entry, and mailing; ensure confidentiality of all data
Handle and resolve guests' complaints and disputes by obtaining and evaluating all relevant data
Provide security to ensure the Red Shield is safe and secure by ensuring authorized entry by checking in and out all guests and using lock‑in system with buzzard to allow individuals into the facility
Report any suspicious or inappropriate activity to management
Assist with emergencies and crisis situations including but not limited to fire alarms, flooding, and medical emergencies
Maintain cleanliness of facility/work area and conduct mandatory safety checks
Ensure that notices and changes for events, programs, and activities are posted in advance
Responsible for all opening duties
Assist Red Shield Center with accurate and detailed work order and incident reports
Accept mail and packages for Red Shield Center/Staff and ensure it reaches the main office
Create and maintain up-to-date flyers, programs and applications
Data entry into Red Shield kiosk system through back end
Work with administrative staff and front desk attendant for processing paperwork appropriately
Perform other duties as assigned
Other related duties as required
Education And Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Skills And Abilities
Excellent customer service skills
Computer literate with proficient typing skills
Proactive mindset, good organization, attention to detail, sound judgment
Bilingual in Spanish
Experience with a Point of Sales (POS) system and membership recruitment (preferred)
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (usually file boxes)
